Audiobook Theater

Your books. Your listening experience.

A free Android audiobook player for your own collection. No ads, purchases, or account required. Designed for adults; users supply their own content.

Available in the alpha

• Local audiobook import and listening: MP4, M4A, and M4B have been tested.
• Playback controls, basic library sorting, and listening statistics.
• A selection of light and dark color themes.
• Local storage of your library information and listening activity.

These features need broader device testing. EPUB and PDF files may be recognized, but reading them is not supported yet. Themes do not currently follow the system setting.

On the roadmap

• Sleep timers and automatic library organization.
• Optional metadata lookups.
• Google Drive and Audiobookshelf integrations.
• Immersive reading with a matching ebook you own.
• Local-only AI character summaries, “What did I miss?” recaps, and “What’s happening now?” scene context.
• Local and Google Drive backups.

Roadmap items are not included in the current release. Internet access will be needed for online integrations. Planned AI features depend on device support and will not silently fall back to cloud AI.
